PLANO, Texas, July 2021 — As the nation tries to balance life amidst the pandemic, organizations are beginning to make their comeback through events. Promise Keepers, a nonprofit organization focused on helping men live with integrity, hosted their Men’s Conference at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, July 16–17.

Promise Keepers was able to engage nearly 100,000 men during the event,  25,000 in attendance at the conference and another 70,000 watching from incarceration. The event, which was streamed in 40 countries, called on the men to “fulfill their destinies as godly husbands, fathers, and leaders.”

The event reignited what was once an annual occasion and encouraged men to serve their communities after the conference. To achieve community impacts across the nation, Promise Keepers partnered with VOMO, a Plano-based volunteer platform that serves to connect organizations and individual volunteers. The partnership challenges men in the Promise Keepers network to put action to their faith as they go home to serve their individual communities.

VOMO created a Promise Keepers Volunteer Hub for guests to interact with after the event was over. On the Hub, when men have returned home, they can find Volunteer Opportunities with organizations in their area based on their location. VOMO will track their Volunteer Hours, Economic Impact, and completed Serving Dates so that both volunteers and organizations can follow the impact they are creating. Promise Keepers is able to see these analytics in their VOMO Hub, quantifying the impact created by the army of men serving their communities.

Founded by Coach Bill McCartney in 1990, Promise Keepers’ goal is to “reunite, rebuild, re-imagine, and inspire the hearts of men.” Since then, they have helped seven million men live with integrity through conferences like the one held in Arlington this year. With Ken Harrison currently at the helm, the organization is striving to revive and transform the nation by 2025 through the power of men linking-arms for change.
