Business Spotlight: Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate

Rogers Healy and Associates Real Estate is a real estate company based in Dallas-Fort Worth with a strong commitment to serve the community. When hiring, they look for individuals who are community-minded and philanthropy-driven.  They started using VOMO in October 2018 and have seen great results. Specifically, VOMO has been integral in helping them organize monthly volunteer events that allow their real estate agents to serve the community through a program called #RHAGivesBack.  We had a conversation with them last week to find out more about their company and how VOMO has made volunteering as an organization, easier than ever before.

What is an aspect of serving that your company is passionate about?

Our company organizes monthly volunteer events that allow our agents to serve the community through a program called #RHAGivesBack. If a team member is an advocate for a specific nonprofit or cause, he/she has the opportunity to take the lead on a project and engage all RHA agents. Causes and organizations we serve include but are not limited to Bonton Farms, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Inspire School Programs, ASPCA, Juliette Fowler Communities + Nursing Home, Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk, Miles for Mazy Gala + Heart of Autism.

In the past, what has been pain point in organizing volunteers, and how does VOMO help solve that problem?

In an ever-changing industry where some days you receive over 100 emails by noon, it can be difficult to make sure all our agents, as well as staff, know about private events. VOMO has allowed us to create organized opportunities for our realtors to attend different charity events and community service projects while making the invitation and registration process a smooth one.

How is VOMO helping you recruit and manage your volunteers?

Now instead of having to check emails and calendar invites for Community Service Projects and Volunteer Opportunities, they can log directly into the app and see upcoming volunteer opportunities. Also, if a team member is an advocate for a specific nonprofit or cause, he/she has the chance to take the lead on a project and engage all RHA employees by creating an event and inviting staff allowing for more team building opportunities.

What kind of impact have you seen by unleashing your volunteers?

VOMO provides us with the ultimate platform for our team to efficiently coordinate, as well as access, all our volunteer activities so we can do what we do best, serve and love on those in our communities. So far, we have seen a powerful impact.
